On the night of Saturday, 3rd March 2012 one of Angiama's surviving patriarchs Pa Woko Barrot Saiya passed away peacefully. My last contact with him was on 19th February 2012. He received me warmly and gave me some fatherly advice. On the matter that brought me to the village, he asked me to be stedfast and not allow falsehood to prevail.
He was aged over 90 years. Pa Barrot was a man of sterling and inimitable qualities. He was famous for his soft voice which carried so much authority because he was a man of integrity. We shall miss him dearly.
